This amazing low cost electronic device will assist domestic and commercial property owners save water and money, this modern marvel requires no plumbing or special skills or tools to install.Every home or property should fit one today, its the water equivalent to the smoke alarm, and is considered an invaluable water conservation product. This is one product that will give peace of mind as well saving on your water bills and hopefully preventing stand pipes in times of drought.
How Does Ecosave Work?
The ecosave is a very sensitive, low frequency sound analyser which utilises complex electronics to detect the noise generated from water flow within plumbing water pipes
As water moves through the pipe noise is generated in the form of a sound signal The Ecosave microphone measures this signal over a pre set allowable water flow time set by the user. If the detected flow noise exceeds the users preset time it will alarm to alert you to a possible leak or water waste.
There are various other features regarding the operation of the Ecosave which are regarded as confidential, but is included within the software to ensure the best possible water wastage / leak performance is achieved.
Benefits To The Average Household
Water use surveys show an average property with up to 4 residents and a relatively normal water consumption do not normally experience any continuous water flow periods of more than 35 minutes, therefore the nearest Ecosave setting of 1 hour should be acceptable in most cases, except in instances when extended garden watering or other unusual exceptions will cause an alarm which can be simply cancelled by pressing the reset button if the unusual cause is known
It is worth noting that the average household wastes up to 15% of the water it pays for, making a very good case to purchase an Ecosave for your home.
Where Do I Install The ECOSAVE?
The ecosave is preferably mounted onto a clean straight section of incoming water supply pipe as near to your stop tap or water meter as possible, failing that as near to a plumbing fitting for example a 90 deg bend or a "T" junction, or other plumbing fitting as these fittings generate some noise as water moves through them which the Ecosave will detect.
The Ecosave is best located in a "quiet" location, as sometimes it is possible for the Ecosave to false alarm if very loud ambient continuous noise from outside the pipe is encountered from devices such as a heating pump, or an air conditioning unit, in which case it will require the Ecosave to be re-sited further away from such devices.
Installation of the Ecosave takes only a couple of minutes at the most, and even if you cannot follow the very easy instructions the ecosave will default to a factory setting which just makes the installation process even easier especially for the elderly or physically challenged.
