So its a greener workplace you want is it? It seems that Xerox has the answer. The ColorQube 9200 is a cartridge-free -high speed - solid ink printer.
Producing 90% less waste than comparable colour laser printers or devices, the ColorQube 9200 seems to be eco-friendly in more ways than one. After printing 22,000 pages a month for 4 years, the 9200's solid ink waste amounts to some 40Kg as opposed to an enormous 370Kg. of waste from a laser printer. This is of course adding together all packaging and the cartridges themselves, which, lefts face it, all ends up in our land fill sites at the end of the day.
Even more encouraging, is that the solid ink produced by Xerox is a non-toxic product - and safe for handling; meaning no mess, no staining of clothes, your skin or your furniture. Its not a good look, getting ink on your suit before having a meeting - trust me, I know!
Though, it seems its not only the ink which should be comended; with automatic two-sided printing and copying, you could potentially use up to 50% less paper. Now thats a real saving.
Now the only thing thats left is to remove the human error in this; stop printing out all those pages that you'll never read!
